Program Overview

Recent advances in antiretroviral therapy have markedly improved care and outcomes for patients living with HIV. This case-based activity, which is Part 3 of a four-part series titled HIV Management in Rural and Underserved Communities: Tailoring Care and Treatment to Improve Health Equity, will demonstate best practices for selecting an appropriate HIV treatment regimen and conducting ongoing testing and monitoring. Current guideline recommendations and new evidence to support early initiation of antiretroviral therapy will also be discussed.

This activity is a recording from a webinar series that took place in August 2022. Please note that any data, information, and guidance presented in the activity are subject to change.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Apply best practices and evidence-based interventions to improve rapid HIV treatment initiation in rural and underserved settings
